Technology
Homefibre uses proven and innovative technology. The company combines approved polymer optical fibre technology (POF) with the electrical installation system. That system combination offers a maximum of network availability for digital end user multimedia equipment. An optical interface at each power socket with a minimum on installation effort.

History
Founded May 2004 by Josef Faller.
After foundation in May 2004 and settlement of fundings, the management focused on development of the first optical media converter (OMC) prototypes and feasibility studies for Fast Ethernet (IP) and IEEE 1394 transmission. Based on these prototypes the concept has been presented on various trade shows and conferences. First devices have been used 2007 in pilot projects.
The concept development has been implemented in close cooperation with global corporations and well-known science institutes and universities.
